Due to some restrictions of the Notion API, we are not able to restore pages back to their original location. To enable the restore of pages in Notion, you need to add a new page to your Notion account and add this page to the backup scope.
Create a new page
- Click on ‘New page’ in the bottom left corner
- Name the page ‘Pro Backup Restore’
This will add a new toplevel page in your account.
Add the page to the backup scope
Once this is done, you will to add this new page to the backup scope.
Drag the page after restore
When you now restore a page through the UI, the page will appear in the ‘Pro Backup Restore’ page. From there you can drop it the right location.
Important
Due to restrictions in the Notion API we are not able to restore all block types.
