Backing up your data should not only protect you against accidental or malicious deletion of your data. Quite often you just want to compare your data to a previous version.

This is now possible with brand new feature called Snapshots!

Table of Contents

What are snapshots?

For each integration we back up as many data types as possible. Example of common data types are projects, tasks, comments, files, etc.

Each day we create a new snapshot of each of these data types which can be access through the snapshot pane. This allows you to open and access the different versions of your previously backed up data; and you can do this for each data type.

Compare versions of your backed up data

❗️Problem: A formula in a table does no longer seem to work.

💡 Solution: Look up the previous configuration of your table fields to see if the formula has changed.

Each snapshot can be viewed in the browser or downloaded as a CSV file. This allows you check how a certain board or project looked like on any certain date.

2) Create copies of your snapshots back to your account

For the most used data types it is also possible to create a copy back to your account. Creating a copy of your snapshots will create a new identical (and duplicate) record in your account; it will never overwrite existing data.

Example: A data import has messed all tasks linked to a certain project?

  •  (for example of your tasks)
  • (this is only available for the most used data types)
