We have some exciting news for you! As you know we currently back up your data through a dedicated Chrome extension. We built this extension because the API of Airtable did not allow us to back up critical data such as files & comments.
Luckily last week, Airtable announced the public beta of several new API authentication features, including the metadata API, comments API, and webhook API. Thanks to this update, we can bring our Airtable integration the next level.
What will change?
The authorization of Pro Backup will happen solely through the public API of Airtable. This means that the Chrome extension will be phased out in the next few weeks.
We will able to add better backup and restore capabilities such as one-click restore for tables.
Unfortunately the public API of Airtable does not (yet) allow to back up automations & views. As a result these two data types will be excluded from the backup scope. As soon as this made possible, we will of course backup these data types.

Click on ‘All current and future bases for this workspace’ for each of your workspaces.
ImportantPlease do this before Friday 9th of December. After December 9th, we will switch the authorization token for all users to the Airtable's API. The Chrome extension will then be disabled and can be removed from your Chrome browser.
